History
A Continuing Tradition
Our story began in 1983 when Michael H. Mahaffey, a New York native, established Home-Tech, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah. His company expanded and grew over the years, amassing a large portfolio of work on beautiful homes throughout the area. We were all deeply saddened by Michael's passing but have committed to continuing the legacy he established.
In January 2016 all of the Home-Tech crew, including the office staff joined forces with Hills Construction, who incorporated in 1992. It is a solid company and we are excited to be a part of it as we continue to move forward. The owner, Burke Hills, has been a friend of Michael for more than 30 years and they have collaborated on various projects as well as owned property together in the past.
Hills Construction utilizes the very accomplished and well experienced Home-Tech team doing just what they’ve been doing all along. Our Project Managers and Master Carpenters are highly skilled craftsmen who have many years of experience as well as certifications in various aspects of custom remodeling and renovation. We continue to deliver the same excellent high quality work and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction that Home-Tech, Inc. was so well-known for.
